Trade Finance Introductions

The capital exists for verified, structured, credible deal flow — and the capital often cannot find the deal flow. The trade finance practice at CMW exists to close that gap on a transaction-by-transaction basis. This is not a fund. It is an introduction practice with deep institutional relationships.

Who we work with

Family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors with allocated capital for emerging-market opportunities. Private credit funds with mandates that fit trade and project finance. Development finance institutions with a remit that overlaps the projects we encounter. We have working relationships with each of these constituencies and we honour them by referring only deal flow that meets institutional standards.

What we introduce

Pre-export financing mandates for verified commodity transactions. Project-finance opportunities where the project structure is bankable and the verification has been done. SBLC and CTF facility introductions where the underlying transaction stands up. The bar for what we introduce is the bar that protects the institutional relationships on the capital side; we apply it without exception.

What we do not do

We do not promise capital. We do not collect upfront fees from project owners. We do not introduce capital to project owners who cannot pass our verification. We do not work with parties whose paperwork is borrowed from another era of the industry, and there is more of that than you would think.

Engagement

Project owners with a verified deal can submit a brief enquiry with their executive summary, structure, and indicative size. We review within one week and respond either with a request for further information or with a clear decline. The decline rate is high; the introductions that survive close.
